What level do I need to be at before I start?

Better than a beginner but nowhere near professional. Think of it like a driving test: you don't need Formula One race experience, but you do need to be comfortable on the road first. Most people coming onto our courses are intermediate to strong intermediate skiers or snowboarders. If you're not sure where you sit, get in touch and we'll be honest with you about it.

What qualifications will I come away with?

That depends on the course, but the short version is: CSIA Level 2 for ski instructors, CASI Level 2 for snowboard, both are internationally recognised and the standard employers in Canada and beyond are looking for. Level 1 is where you start. Level 2 is where you become employable. Some people go on to Level 3, but that's the Yoda level of the qualification ladder, and not everyone needs to go there.

Our internships go a step further: you come away with the qualification AND a season of paid work on the hill. That's not something most of our competitors can say.

Can I really get a paid job in Canada at the end of it?

Yes. But let's be clear about what that means. Level 2 instructors don't grow on trees, and the resorts know it. That's why our internship model works: we place you directly with a resort partner, so you're not arriving in Canada with a qualification and a prayer. You're arriving with a job already lined up. We've been placing clients in paid instructor roles for years. It is genuinely what we do.

How much does it all cost, realistically?

We don't do vague pricing on purpose. There's no one-size-fits-all because the course length, resort choice, and whether you're going on an internship or a standalone programme all change the number. What we can say is that a full season with us, including accommodation, training, and internship placement, is a serious but one-time investment that most clients earn back within their first winter of paid work. If budget is on your mind, the best thing you can do is book a call. We'll build something that doesn't blow what you've got. No hard sell. Just numbers.

Is it safe? What if something goes wrong out there?

This is often the first question from parents, and it's the right one to ask. Our clients live and train together, usually in staff accommodation with experienced WSC-aligned resort staff. We have in-resort support, 24/7 emergency contact, and we don't just wave you off at the airport. From the moment you land to the moment you fly home, there's structure behind you. Canada isn't a gap year filler. It's a proper season with a proper safety net.
